How do you want the songs to be transmitted to you?
We take your song in as a 128k layer 3, mp3. We convert it to the appropriate file types for multiple streaming and downloadable bandwidths.
What is your strategy for bringing this site to the attention of publishers, producers and agents etc.?
First of all, we are not in the song pitching business. We are an internet service provider designed for those who pitch and plug songs. We do not want people to think that we are pitching or promoting their songs. Our number one strategy is to offer an effective forum to plug/pitch and find songs with. We have developed a promotional package that is being distributed to all major publishers in Nashville, TN. Take a look at our one sheet:

This is beneficial for anyone who is placing their songs on the site, especially if they do not have a Publishing Deal, because; As the Major Publishing Houses use this service, it drives industry traffic to it.
Also, we are being featured in Billboard Magazine, May 6th, 2000. They are doing a story about PublishSongs.Com and how it is affecting the Song Plugging Industry.
How come I can't find PublishSongs.Com on any of the major search engines?
Since the site is brand new, it will not be visible by any of the search engines for as long as 6 months. That is true with any site. We have submitted PublishSongs.Com to every search engine on the internet, so in time, it will be visible this way. Also, the pages that I build here are real web pages with real meta information so they will also have visibility this way. Unlike the dynamically generated pages at mp3.com that are nothing but data from a database with no meta information.
Can I replace songs in an existing account?
Yes. We allow our customers to replace songs in an existing paid account every six months. If you want to add songs to an existing account we can upgrade your account accordingly. Simply add the song and email a request to upgrade your account.
Additional song costs on existing accounts:
10 song account - $2.00/song per month
25 song account - $1.60/song per month
50 song account - $1.20/song per month
100 song account - $1.00/song per month
250 song account - $.50/song per month
Are you required to upload the whole song? What are the advantages and disadvantages to doing this?
Yes you are required to upload the whole song. The reason for this is:
If someone's going to cut the song, they need a complete copy of the song. You can select whether the song is searchable by the search engine and you have two password protection options for the song.
